Array LOST fan here. I've got to get around to downloading the beginning of the fourth season. I haven't seen any of it, but so far I've heard from people who love, and kinda like it. I'm looking forward to it myself. Mess with my cows and I'll break your knees U.S. OUT OF VERMONT More Cowbell -

Array Theories about different aspects of the show? What they like and not like, do you watch? -
yes.
highlight below for my new season theories, which include spoilers. the new people are dharma.
the lady from the helicopter's full name was C.S Lewis, literary reference to alternate reality works of the narnia series.
the oceanic 6 are the people who got rescued, but the rest of the group are still on the island.
people travel to and from the island, possibly through time as well (see richard alpert), via one of the stations dealing with casimir effect studies, and i'm thinking that jacob is a byproduct of the travelling gone wrong (perhaps when the future version of someone came in contact with the present version inadvertently) -

Array Thought the new people might be Dharma but seems as they would know where the island is and how to find it. Not sure about this one.
Either way thire seems to be a very big hole to be filled from before Ben killed all the Dharma people and he was a kid. The picture they had makes lots of this interesting. The fact that he knew all of them makes it more interesting. Possible they were in a group together. I really like the Miles character, he and Sawyer go well together, or they could.
I did like how Ben said he had info and answers then the first question Locke asked was 'I don't know'. Wish we had seen the first reaction of Charlotte to Ben and Ben to Charlotte when they got her out fo the water and she realized she had found him. Ben seems to be in serious save his own a$$ mode.
Also, loved the reaction of Locke and Ben when they thought Hurley made it seem he had seen Jacob's cabin, he did but tried to hide it.
Overall I thought this was a top 5 episode of the series.

Array I saw this on a few other chat boards but seems a little far fetched. This would mean Ben knew these people were out there and exactly where they were. Possible but a bit of a stretch. Might be Michael but doesn't work with the Dharma tie-in. Again, if it was Dharma, they would know where the island is and how to find it. Remember, the Dharma folks were always weary of 'certain someones' finding the island, this could be them. They know about Dharma but are a rival group/company or some sort.
Interesting how the found the fake plane northest of Australia when for the whole series we have been led to belive they were in the South Pacific. I am surprised no one in the media would ask why a plane from Sydney to LA would go the India route but maybe we haven't seen that yet.
Any ideas on the weird bird that has shown up in the first two season finales? -

Remember, the Dharma folks were always weary of 'certain someones' finding the island, this could be them. They know about Dharma but are a rival group/company or some sort. well, he sure knew who they were last episode, and they do have that information station. i think the issue with the island is that noone knows where it is exactly due to the properties of it, and i think it ties in with my theory of them having to use an alternate method of getting to/from the island. the people worried about people finding the island weren't dharma, they were the others, iirc. i suspect that they were worried about dharma coming back after they killed them all and took over the transportation mechanism. which Bird, thought it was the same bird in both season 1 and 2 last epi's.
The properties would explain why someone new wouldn't find it but unless the island can move they know basically where it is and would find it even if the readings seemes to throw them off course.
Not so sure a preplanned event but likely saw how much attention it was getting and thought their might be lots of rescue ops that might find them so they put the plane where they knew it would likely be found.
Also, why was the pilot so sure the pilot wasn't the pilot and said he was supposed to fly the plane? This would be odd that a Dharma person would a commercial airline pilot and flying the plane that went down on this island with these people.
I did like the bullet proof vest touch to the story line. Wonder if Ben knew it was there. -

Array As for Ben knowing who they were in the last epi, ever since he appeared and showed his true colors he has had concern about someone finding the island. Surprised Rouso didn't help the castaways with who this guy really is/was and kill him when she had the chance.

Array Maybe, seems like that's a stretch based on the way the show has been going and not sure the producers want that hard a twist or they will have problems selling another show.
Still don't think it's Dharma on the boat, remember, Dharma has already made 1 or 2 supply drops on the island that way have seen. They know where the island is and how to get there, these people needed help/had to get lucky. -

Array Yeah, I did see that somewhere. Not sure how time travel explains how the rabbit apepared on top of the shelves but it would explain how they are together.
If they do go the time travel route I hope it's not cheeseball sci-fi channelesque.
Just curious why the smoke has only approached 2 people. -
