Confused about womens econoguard sizing chart

I looked up the sizing chart for the womens plastrons here on the site fencing.net and I am very confused on the sizing chart. My bust is 34 at the fullest and the under bust is 30 inches. I cannot determine my own size, and I do not know my own bra size. can anyone help please?

Look up your bra size, or ask the person who buys them for you what it is?

And really, this should be part of the other thread. You can ask multiple, related questions on the same thread.

Well, this is F.net. The questions don't have to be related at all.

Maleah, I see your size is not the only thing you are confused about. Your thread title suggests your looking for a chest/breast protector, and then you start talking about a plastron.

This is a breast protector and this is a plastron (also called 'underarm protector').

As someone suggested for the plastron, they come in sizes like S, M, L etc. Go with your regular t-shirt size.

As for breast protectors I realise this can be a little trickier. The best is if you can try one out at your club, of course. If not there's a size chart at hand. Beased on your measurements I'd probably go with a size E 12 B (M/B).

(Allstar GER makes this easier as they only have sizes S, M, L and XL to choose from.)

I had to modify mine to make it fit properly. The edges just 'stood out' too far when I took parries etc. The plastic is fairly soft so I cut some off of the edges and then used a lighter to smoothen the rough plastic edges.

I am struggling to help you because I am not sure what are you buying. Plastrons and chest protectors are not the same thing. Women need to have both of them for fencing.

A plastron protects your under-arm and upper arm. A plastron can pretty safely be purchased in the same size as you wear in a t-shirt. That works for almost everyone.

Chest protectors or body armour protects your bust and you will need an idea of your bra cup size. Just look at one of your bras, it will say possibly 32 B. B is your cup size. You then order according to that and the measurement under your bust.

If you clarify what you are buying we can try to help more. Also, if it does not fit, send it back and get the right size. No big thing.
