    The Wild Blue Yonder

    Yep, off I go...

    Or, if you prefer:
    "All my bags are packed,
    And I'm ready to go...
    ...'Cause I'm leavin',
    on a jet plane..."

Anyway, I leave around noon tommorow (today?), the 8th, for the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs. I'll spend a week there attending various classes, a mini-version of basic, etc.

Anyway, the part that you all care about (or maybe don't, I don't know) - is that I'll be without internet access, or the time to use it, for a week. I will, however, have several hours to and from with which to write!

    So, goodbye for now!

Off we go, into the wild blue yonder
    Climbing high into the sun
Here they come, zooming to meet our thunder
At 'em boys, give 'er the gun!
Diving low, spouting our flame from under
    Off with one hell-uv-a-roar!
We live in fame or go down in flame
Nothing'll stop the U.S. Air Force!

Had to memorize that...along with a quote from Gen. U.S. Grant (In every battle there comes a time when both sides consider themselves beaten; then he who continues the attack wins), the mission statement of the USAFA, the purpose for the Fourth Class System at the USAFA, and the full identification of the F-15. And then recite them while doing pushups. With a large, college senior, Div. I football star screaming in your face. And if you get out of step with your element at any time in the quote, you get to finish anyway - then start over again. Don't even get me started on meals.

    Man, it rocked.

    And the chapel is GORGEOUS!!
