| Time out to review the action (Life after Arcon) Okay, I'm asking for a time out to review the action. I'm getting confused by the chronology.
Rosaline, Loch, and Jo met with Zelda the day (Day 1) they return from the search. They leave the queen.
That afternoon (Day 1) Queen Joslyn and Lady Olivia arrive. Confrontation with Willow, followed by her collapse.
That night (still Day 1), Dr. Abernathy holds a meeting to form a search party from the citizenry, then returns to the castle to attend Willow. Joslyn, Zelda, Olivia, and Nicholas stand vigil through the night.
Zelda sends for Latenight. Dr Abernathy sets out with Captain Smythe to search for Arcon. We don't know what Loch and Jo are doing, but we presume they are outfitting their own expedition.
Zelda describes the sun as just setting when Latenight finally arrives with the codicil. This would then be the evening of the SECOND day following the search party's return.
Does that about fit with everyone else's understanding? Or have I lost track somewhere along the way?
Right at the moment, I am proceeding on the assumption that Loch and Jo's preparations are not finished, and may not be, depending on this tournament to determine the succession.
However, I should point out that Loch, Jo, and Rosaline are probably getting somewhat anxious to be away on their quest, because each day's delay reduces their chances of finding Arcon alive.
