| Hi-Tops Hi everyone...Any comments on hi-top asyms vs. normal asyms (the shoes). There's a pair I may want, but they're hi-tops, so I'm not sure about them. Yes, I know they provide ankle support, but anything other than that? |

-w | That's a good one.
BTW - seriously one other difference is that the high-tops don't have Right and Left versions, which might help you on re-sale ease if you find you don't like them.

| I've worn both, and I preferred the low-top versions. The high-tops felt slightly constricting (well, they are high-tops). I also had a friend develop shin splints after wearing them. Said shin splints disappeared once he switched back to the low tops. |

| Some people prefer high tops, some people hate them. Most people aren't big fans, but I for one love the damn things. |

| I've had one pair of hi-tops. Overall didn't like them. Found then too restrictive and think they actually made my lunge worse by reducing ankle motion. I removed the plastic supports initially from one shoe and then the other. I then only laced them to just above the ankle. At that point decided hi-tops weren't for me.

| What do you wear now in terms of a high or low shoe? When I first fenced I wore a high-top to help stabilize my ankle. After many years, I now find them very restrictive in terms of lunging and general footwork, so I am wear in a low shoe. If you are used to a low shoe you may not like a high-top. Also, the Adidas Equipment high-top is not an asymetrical shoe like the low version. |
