Array Maximum consecutive number of 15 touch bouts won Let's hear how many 15 touch bouts you've won consecutively in a competition.
- If that competition had repechage, and you lost one, that's not consecutive.
- If you fenced a competition that took part over 2 days, and you won bouts in the first day, and carried over winning bouts in the 2nd day, those count as one competition.
Let's hear your stories! - Epee is the Louis Vuitton bag of fencing: only the best can get it, and the rest of the masses must content themselves with cheap knockoffs (sabre, foil)

Array Biggest tournament I ever won was a table of 64, and I think I had a bye to start. So... 32 + 16 + 8 + 4 + 2 = 5 consecutive bouts.
Now, if we remove the "in a competition" restriction, I once won three tournaments in a row (woulda been 4, but the Tucson Div I fell after the first one). So that's 4 bouts + 5 bouts + 3 bouts = 12 overall. -
I won a tournament with 78 fencers, but I had a bye, so 6. -
Only 4. I started in the 64 and lost in the round of 4. -
Um... is the poll specific to one event? I have fenced epee and foil in one day and the only bout I lost all day was in the round of 4 of foil. Giving me 4 for epee and then 2 for foil. -
6 - from a short 64, without a bye. -

Array Due to the strange way things were run around here a few years ago (maybe they're still run this way - i don't know), my kid spent a day fencing both the cadet and junior JO qualifiers simultaneously (yes these were separate events with many of the same participants both being run more or less simultaneously - pools were a mess!). As she won both events I believe she actually fenced 8 or so 15 touch DEs - I'm pretty sure she had a bye for the first round of both events. -
Seven, because Darius is a sadist who decided a tournament with 12 fencers should be a 15-touch round robin. Won the first seven, lost the next one, then won the next three. I think I was twitching by the end of the day. Similar Threads -
