    Cherry Blossom Open 2008 Mar 29, 2008 - Mar 30, 2008

Is up on askfred. First 4 A's per event free (limit one per person). Should be awesome again this year.

Because a couple folks have asked, since FRED doesn't allow you to not require preregistration fees for the first 4 A's per event, the registration fee will be returned at the tournament.

A link would be quite helpful...

On another note, I am sad to report that I will not be able to participate this year, as I am still in need of surgery. Best of luck to those that attend, should be a great tournament.

On another note, I may be available as a ref this yera, but that would depend greatly on the timing of said surgery....

If I'd realized an incomplete registration counted for this I wouldn't have paid the $10.99, for which I'll have to remember to request a refund in 2 months...

edit: besides, Joe ALWAYS signs up. They missing key so far is having him actually present for the tournament...

Joe will be there even if it means the trunk of my car . Remember I'm down at UNC now too. And Joe will finish his registration he got special dispensation to wait.

And yes you will get a refund (doesn't anyone read the more info section?)

Of course I read the more info section. That's how I knew that it was being handled as a register-and-get-refunded process.

So does tying Joe's attendance to you mean that we won't have your presence either this year? I'm just trying to figure out the immoveable object vs. irresistable force conundrum and figure this might pose a convenient near-equivalent testing proxy. :)

but I've already paid to fence one event, and will theoretically be paid for being there the other day plus free food. And a graduate student about money and free food is both an irresistible force and an immovable object

and Patrick will be happy to hear someone bothered to read it

Thinking about it, if I can manage to squeeze it in between Rosemont and the Vet tournament in Curacao...

Well Steve H. now has an A and he's local, so I would assume he would show up. Course all the A's also have to do what they're supposed to. Trying to convince some of the other NC A's to come up as well.

Mmmm, I was reminded yesterday that my cousin is getting married that weekend.

    &$%^#@

Looks like I'll be the one (or at least one of them) to be skipping out. :(

A wedding takes precedence over fencing?! What are you, a girl?

The wedding's on Sunday!? What are they? Jewish? And I'm with Inq weddings (other then your own) are overrated, unfortunately the problems with being ostracized by your entire family arent.

    Ah, family values...

Say, do you think that when members of two Mafia families make peace they all get together and sing Goombahyah?

I think it's on the Saturday, in Coastal Georgia. It might be possible to do both, but certainly not easy.

Given my current weapon situation I may not be fencing yet again... not by choice but ummm, yeah.
I now dangle to the left....my tassle. Get your minds out of the gutter.
