| Another Female Equipment Question Our newest female fencers in our club have asked me about how to purchase a chest protector. I pointed them to some sites to view sizing information- then they asked me how they were supposed to fit...
Knowing well that equipment labeled the same size will vary between vendors and not actually having ever worn one myself, I am stumped on how to reply. Should they be snug? Have a little extra room? What?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated |

| Just tell them to buy the same size as their bra size. The adjustable straps should account for any other sizing issues. |

| I don't know about the sizing in the US but here in the UK the sizing is dreadful. Its best to try the chest protector before buying.
I wear a chest protector in a crop top, so the sizing is more important, but even with the straps a bigger protector is better than one too small.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated | Give me the chest measurement in inches -- measured UNDER the bust, not across it -- and the cup size and I can give you the size.
Keep in mind that the vast majority of chest protectors are manufactured by the same company in New Zealand, so they'll all have teh same size...this is regardless of reseller. |
