...do not forget to seat the wire point into the barrel properly.........
which was my only mistake...........but meant that I had to rewire....
Not clear if he has a prewired blade.
Another tip is, if it's german wire, to scrape off the varnish that is under the silk insulation. The wire has to be bright shiny copper before you wrap it around the socket.
Blade was prewired so barrel and all was not an issue. We will find out tonight at the salle if our efforts were success full. Regardless, he and I a good time so whatever the outcome, it was worth it.
