I would imagine that one could possibly start online or contact their various HQ locations:
Regional Headquarters
Nike EMEA (Europe, Middle East & Africa) Headquarters
Colosseum 1
1213 NL Hilversum
The Netherlands
tel. +31.35.6266453
NIKE UK Headquarters
1 Victory Way
Business Park
Sunderland
England

The world HQ building in Oregon also has an 800 number which seems to be geared toward answering these sorts of questions.

That's Unretailmerican!
There's still a good chance they won't see the light of day...
Yah, I was going to say. My first reaction to this thread was: "There's a Nike fencing shoe?"
The solution to your problem is to fence another weapon.
Don't say that -- the NWFC folks have been raving about them!
They've already sent us samples and I'm pretty sure we're already set to order them on our contract for next season. To the best of our knowledge they just haven't been priced...something they're not telling us Scott?

Why doesn't someone clone the Adidas Asym, and make it at a lower price point than the German made ones? Most top fencers I know love them and there is nothing that compares to them. Honestly, how hard is it to make a great fencing shoe? The current offerings just plain suck.

There will be an article coming out on Fencing.Net in the next week or two that will detail a lot of things about the new Nike fencing shoe.
The design process is interesting and some really cool things went into the shoe design. For the details (and a chance to get a sneak peek at the shoes), you'll need to wait until we get the article published.

I'm onto their game, it's basic marketing- Nike hasn't yet penetrated the fencing market. Word-of-mouth is both inexpensive, and highly effective. Release a quality product in limited doses- to NWFC, and a few other places. Let positive buzz create pent-up demand- people are clamoring for these things to be available now.
Now, what to do with the pent-up demand? Milk it, of course. See just how intense it gets, and price your product accordingly- economies of scale aside, these can't cost much more for Nike's child workforce to produce than any other athletic shoes. Announce the price late to capitalize on the consumer fervor- there was plenty speculation about the iPhone before it came out, but it wasn't until Jobs made the official announcement last January that we had any idea of the price. Despite the >50% margin that Apple was getting on each iPhone sold, I still bought one.
If I were Nike, I'd do the same thing here- announce a high price as soon as the product is officially announced, and then drop it once the early adopter market has been tapped out. Market skimming at its best.

They're already out. I've seen an En-Garde model being sold at most Junior World Cups i've attended this season.
The current Nike shoes are definitely not named En-Garde...what praytell are you saying is already out?

Rather odd as I Adidas already makes a shoe called En Garde, Nike reportedly only has (will have) one fencing shoe, and that shoe is defintely named Ballestra...

Major shoe companies don't share well. How skeptical would you be if I told you about the new Adidas Zoom Air Force Ones?
Edit: they also don't really share well wrt designs either. I doubt the new Nikes will look much like a current Adidas shoe.
