Array Other than the fact that there are a lot of critics of Ziv handles on this website, I don't see how anyone might find anything objectionable here. Have you used their grips before?
Your color scheme really is irrelevant; dynamo blades are fine. -

Array I would probably either get a French grip on a dry foil (and save a bit of cash) or spend a little more and get the electric version of this foil.
If you ever do start fencing electric you will probably put the dry foil in the corner and forget about it.
Although you could always use the Z grip on another foil later...

Array Yeah...I have to second part of what wahrman says. Get a good electric blade with a "dummy" tip if you ever want to fence for real. "Dry" blades feel and react nothing like electric blades. On the other hand, my seven year old daughter will start with a dry blade because she's tiny and won't compete for a couple of years. But that's one of very few situations where I think dry makes any sense. -
Have you fenced with a Zivkovic grip in the past?
I don't have a ton of experience with it, but I tried just holding one and the "paddle" bit at the back felt all wrong. So make sure it's a grip you'll be comfortable with, before purchasing one. -

Array I've never really held any pistol grip before... I figured that I would start here.
I have quite a bit of money since I own my own web design company. I should be getting a job for $1300 in a month or so. That should but me a nice foil. I just want something now that isn't cheap that I can use out of school. -
Go for an electric weapon. Ask people at your club if you can have a feel of their foils so you can get a good idea of how the different grips feel and more importantly how you would like your weapon set. -

Array The Ziv's are definitly not a good place to start...do what everybody else does and use a Visconti. There is a reason they are the accepted pistol grip. -

Array I got a leon paul etoile with visconti. It seems to work good. -

They last because they go bendy spaghetti and are difficult to break.
If you want an LP blade, at least get the France. A Dinamo or StM/Allstar branded StM blade would probably help you more.
edit: It won't hurt to go with the accepted wisdom and get a medium or small visconti grip, either. All your choice, mind
