My Armor II.....'course, I'm biased! Do a search in any of the glove threads.

Here are gloves that I've seen good ratings or reviews on:

Fencing.Net budget glove - This is a very thin glove. I like it for foil since it is low profile and I don't need padding. Because it is thin you can really feel the blade.

Armor2 Glove - Good quality glove. More padding - if you get hit on the back of the hand a lot you'll like this as an upgrade.

Leon Paul G126 glove. It's in the $40 range, but it feels very nice. Good quality glove.

Victoria Fencing - I received one for testing and have shown it to a couple of people in our shop. It's also set to retail in the $40 range (gotta buy them with Euros ) It fights tightly and has a nice pad on the back of the hand. I'll post pictures of it soon.

I don't really like the GripMasters. They last about a month for me.

I am a big fan of Fencing Star's USA glove. It's cheap, and lasts forever. Mine has lasted about 2 years until I had to replace it (because of a tear from an epee tip).

It's got a nice padding, grips well, and the material lasts a long time.

I've not yet tried Sam's Armor II glove, though.
    • Epee is the Louis Vuitton bag of fencing: only the best can get it, and the rest of the masses must content themselves with cheap knockoffs (sabre, foil)
    • To not recognize the power of the French grip is to be in denial
