I find it interesting that Amgad Bagawi (as spelled in OP above) is a confirmed referee at the Crown of Texas when he is running a referee clinic on Friday, June 6th and observing down this way on June 7-8 at the DeGall Memorial in Farmer's Branch, TX. By the way, his last name is BADAWI. See the information on Ask FRED at

Well Epee ended up being an A2 event. There were some problems about not enough refs to go around but other than that it seemed to be a good tournament. I didn't fence though but my husband did. Matt get the results up ASAP.

The tournament was fair this year. We did have three referees that did not make it (for different reasons) but it went pretty good all in all. Special thanks to the rated referees that helped pick up the slack; all from NM too!

Results have been up since noon today, the day after the tournament. Sorry I didn't get them up on Sun but after tear down we were just too tired.

    Results are at:

We had a great turn out from lots of out-of-town and local clubs. Thanks for attending.

Next year's Crown of Texas is now posted on askfred and opened for preregistration. Hope to see a lot of you there! It should be a good turn out again.

Julie, sorry you forgot your knickers, we would have loved to have you fence in the open epee event
