It has a lot to do with not understanding what they're arguing about.
Carbon dating is good for about 50,000 years, so YECs say it can't prove the Earth is 4.6 billion years old.
They ignore all the myriad other dating methods that agree with one-another about the billions-of-years estimate.

But that's a whole other issue. If you want to see good arguments, find the videos on YouTube by ExtantDodo.

The basic fact is, Timo's "truth" isn't right. In fact, I don't even think it qualifies as wrong.
