Array The Journey Home The gentle rolling of the ship, the smell of salt water as the waves broke over the bow was new to Arcon. Hed grown to love it as hed made his way through this journey.
The freedom of being on his own was something he
didnt know hed missed until falling off the cliff
that day. It had been over six months since the battle with his brother Zarcon.
So much had changed within him. It was no longer a
mystery to him. He knew what he had to do.. but for now he needed to return to Arconia. In two more days they would arrive. One by sea and one by land. Today was a special day....moreso than anyone knew. He smiled as an inward and pleasant peace came over him.

You think that stops anybody? Look at the candidates:
Arcon, the unfaithful king
Zelda, the severely over-stressed queen/semi-widow
Lochinvar and Josephine, in a completely age-inappropriate relationship
Nękos, the depressed, violent cross-breed
Angelo, the runaway prince
Meekal, his entertaining little brother that talks to rocks
Lord Tellurine isn't actually an Arconian, but he sure spends a lot of time in Arconia, continually hatching evil plots that are predestined to fail.
And, Mango (aka 135711). She doesn't have much of a character, but I think most of us question the sanity of the actual person behind the screen name.
What kind of people are Arconians? Well, we're patriotic, determined, pretty much loyal people. We fight at every given chance, with about every weapon you could think of (Nękos will probably use a garden rake sometime in the near future). The type of fighting is anything from a noble duel to full warfare to a drunken brawl (Note to Zelda: BRAWL). We can never seem to stay peacefully in one place; whenever all of us come back together we have to have a royal ball to kick off a dozen new adventures when everything goes wrong.
Think you belong in a psychiatric hospital? Methinks you'll fit right in! It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us the freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us the freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who gives us the freedom to demonstrate. It is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves beneath the flag, and whose coffin is draped by the flag, who allows the protestor to burn the flag. - Father Dennis Edward O'Brien, USMC -

Array Gosh, Lady Moon seems almost "normal"...aside from being the following:
1. Constantly kidnapped
2. A scribe
3. The victim of several evil & no-so-evil plots
4. A fighter
etc. "Words are, of course, the most powerful drug used by mankind."

Loch: Objection, your Honor! Counsel is presenting a value judgement based oh limited life experience as a statement of fact, when it is in truth merely an opinion.
While I will allow that his youth is the primary cause of this prejudicial view of Loch and Jo's relationship, and will further suggest that his view may be quiet different in another twenty years, I must still move that his words be stricken from the record.
Judge: Objection sustained; the jury will disregard counsel's remarks. Nothing is more frightening than ignorance in action. -

Umm...right...
How could I be depressed? I'm going to prom on Saturday, I have a great house/lawn, I'm in great health and great shape, 20/15 vision, have just been selected for the Air Force Academy Summer Seminar (A really freakin' selective program), and have a wonderful, loving girlfriend.
Depressed? Methinks no.
Lochinvar, just an opinion. I guess I'll defer to your judgement. More than anything, I was just looking for something dysfunctional about Jo/Loch. It presented itself. It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us the freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us the freedom of speech. Array Sword, Ill just say this....I am faithful to Arconia. IF the unfaithfulness you speak of relates to the "cavein" sometime back when Moon and I were trapped together then so be it. It was not my idea for that twist in the storyline....so ....does that mean i was suduced willingly. Well, no one really knows since there were only two that were trapped in that landslide....
I would likt to believe that your description of Arconian characters was somewhat exagerated but
...if not.....then you really must look closely at the reality your living in. Is it truly (reality) or (fantasy)? As far as your description of Mango goes......she may ....and I emphazise MAY not be alone.
Arcon of Arconia
