    Best Sabre glove

    Hey,
I was wondering about this, and after search I found nothing recent or specifically on this subject so I figured I would make a new post. Outof all the sabre gloves that are out there I wanted to know which one, in your opinion, is the best?

It depends on what you mean by sabre glove. Do you mean one with a built in cuff?
I prefer to have my manchette separate from my glove so that I can machine was the latter. To that end I like the armor gloves produced by purplefencer, I believe. I still have the original armor 1 I bought a couple years ago at nationals. It shows nearly zero signs of wear and I use it multiple times a week. It is by far the best glove I've ever used. If only I had discovered it before I dropped 50+ dollars on leon paul gloves on consecutive occasions.

PF, where can they be ordered? when I got mine I bought it from the fencing.net table at nationals, do they still carry it?

You can get them from F/net on line, or from me.

Of the all in one gloves, the LP is by far the best I have tried. The cuff is made of the same material as their ultralight lame so it is super tough and long lasting. It is also hand washable. The glove part is well padded and tough, being the same as the top of the line LP glove. I would strongly recommend it if you want and all in one glove.

If you just want an manchette, get something cheap. That way it is easy to replace when you lose it or it fails. I personally hate manchettes. I have yet to find one that does not poof out around the arm and as primarily and epee fencer, that is sort of anathema to me as a concept...

Tell you what AussieFencer, if you are coming to the CFA Nightmare Before Xmas tourney this weekend and are not in a huge hurry, you can take a look at the LP all in one glove and a bunch of different makes of manchette in the loaner gear locker at CFA. Just come find me, I will be the big guy running the event.

I think that if I can convince my father to take me I will take you up on your offer I also think my dad got me one for x-mas
I would in this case like to know what I am getting
I don't like manchettes either as they do, as you say, poof up.

Among washable gloves? The one from American Fencers Supply. Because there are no colored panels, dots, stripes or logos on it. It's all white. ( Well, off-white. )

There are white leather gloves from other vendors which are also acceptable.

I like blade's super elite glove or whatever they call it. (latex so it's super grippy), only problem is, the lame will die on you within two months. Solution: find someone who can sew on new lame material. to the actual glove/hand part...that's what I did.

Escrime International's Ultimate glove is something I've seen everyone satisfied with, of course it'll be for practice unless you're a cuff addict.

    Hard to find

I tried to buy one of those Blade Super Elite gloves at NAC-C but, alas no mediums. I saw a couple of others that looked both grippy and light but NO MEDIUMS. I had to settle for the Absolute glove (built in cuff) and it is good enough for me!
