Wow.....with two weeks to go the support from the fencers both in New Jersey and here from Fencing.Net has been OUTSTANDING. I have never been so proud to be part of such a group before.

We would like to acknowledge some people who have donated items for the silent auction.

Close of registration for the Barbara Lynch Charity RYC is tomorrow, Dec 20. Times have been changed on these events:

Y14 Men's Epee - close of registration will be 1 pm on Saturday, Dec 22 (was previously 8:30 am)

Y12 Women's Epee and Y12 Men's Epee will be combined, with close of registration on Sunday, Dec 23, at 10 am.

Funds raised will benefit the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition and the Lynch family. To make goods or services donations contact deeshellhouse@yahoo.com.

I know it's late but would like to donate some journals as prizes. I tried e-mailing Darlene but it came back to me as undeliverable. Can you e-mail me or PM me so that I can figure out how I can get these books to you by this Sunday?

I guess I can always Fedex a box...but it would nice if I can give them to someone who's going to the tournament....

I would like to thank everyone who came out or contributed to the Barbara Lynch RYC this past weekend at the New Jersey Fencing Alliance in Maplewood, NJ.

I would like to thank Darlene and Rick Shellhouse who spearheaded the whole thing. I would like to thank George Janto and Frank Mustilli for the use of the club. I would like to thank Cheryl Delaney and the BC crew(Joe and Jennifer) for running a great tournament. I would like to thank all of the refs who volunteered their time to ref a great tournament. And finally I would like to thank the fencers. We have a great bunch of up and coming young fencers that are ready to conquer the fencing world. (If I have missed anyone, I am so sorry. Please know that I appreciate all of the help)

This battle versus Ovarian Cancer has not been easy but with this outpouring of support, the only thing I can do is succeed!!!! I really appreciated that eventhough some people didn't know me before this either gave me their love and support or shared their own stories of triumph.

This was an amazing and overwhelming weekend. I would be remiss if I also didn't thank my family-my parents, sister (Lisa), husband (Shawn) and my kids(Patrick and Fiona). To all-I feel that the best way I can really thank you is to beat this nasty thing into the ground. And I WILL!
