Poccia, you are not being respectful to yourself or anyone else on the board. You need to cut it out. Wherever you came from, you have no right coming here to act like this. We've done nothing to you.

We really need a moderator here. Craig, do you think you can set one up for us?

You have insulted the Mennonites by using them in a disrespectful way...and you are being a jerk by continuing what you are doing. Be a decent person and stop it.

Mennonites don't have to be on the computer for you to insult them....that's sad that you would insult anyone like that. Sad, so sad. Grow up. If you want to write, write something good and decent. Not stupid and spiteful.

The Arrival of the Moral Calvary:

    Moon and Willow -

You cannot control this site with your wretched middle aged hen pecking.

True story about Mennonites - This girl that I know once had a run in with a couple of Mennonite boys in their buggy driving on the side of the highway. They had a keg in the back and were trying to pick up women to have a good time with by waving down passing cars. TRUE STORY.

    All your fiction facists
    Are now belong to us.

You do read trashy romance novels, but probably do so in private.

Don't fool yourself, 28 is definitively middle aged: according to anyones standards except for those in denial.

    -----Oh-oh "I'm published"------

Who exactly is your publisher again?

Do realize that there are at least 4 other people on this site with published books, and yet you are the only one that harps about it non-stop?
Did you ever stop to consider maybe it's because they have a certain level of class and aren't nearly as attention starved as you. You are a petty braggart.

Perforate it and put it on a roll.

Nope. Sorry...no trashy romances here. Can't stand the stuff. Give me a good adventure, any day. And 28 is old, huh? lol

Please refer to the Arconian joke thread. I have a special little something for both of you. IF you dare to take time out from your obviously joy filled lives.

And Poccia, I was not judging your writing. The first one you did was actually ok. The first post I made here was a general statement directed at everyone. We have a LOT of new people. The second was about your multiple topics at one time. There's no need to do that. I got defensive, you got defensive. See what's going on now?

OLD? no i said middle aged. You must rock as a proof reader.

Good to see that you admit to "starting it".

You really need to learn to stop trying to push other people around. Just because someone doesn't agree with you doesn't mean that they are wrong. You seem to think that everyone should have to take the "Live and let live" approach to life except yourself. You are going to be the queen and tell everyone else what to do and think.

Is there anything in your life that you aren't trying to turn a buck from?

Ya know, I'm done. I'm done responding to the fools who come here to disrupt this board. I've been giving them exactly what they want, & that was foolish of me. So, I'm done.

Those who know me, know the truth about me. Those who don't, well, they have two choices: learn about me or make up things. Doesn't matter what they do.

That said, all of my responses in the matter will be deleted. They, along with the troublemakers, no longer exist. If I'm "middle aged" it's time I acted it & ignored those who like to have temper tantrums.

Personally, my doctor has told me that 32 is nowhere near middle aged. People live to around 80. Big deal. My age never bothers me. As for "trashy housewife romances," I do not read them. My bookcases are filled with all kinds of books, but not trashy romances. My style leans more towards Dean Koontz, Stephen King, John Saul, Robin Cook, James Patterson, Mary Higgins Clark, and other Christian authors such as Grace Livingston Hill and Janette Oke (and you won't find sex in ANY of those books). Goodness. If someone <cough-GW> would take a clue pill, he would realize that he only makes himself look bad by trying to insult others and put them down. GW, did your brain come from someone named Abby Normal? Have a nice life. My life is awesome. Married to an incredible man, 3 gorgeous daughters, 2 adorable cats. Life is incredible!

    All your Paperback novels
    Are now belong to us.

    Dean Koontz:
    Exciting? yes
    Titilating? yes
    Mysterious? Sometimes
    Literature? Sorry, but no.

Guns, Mystery, Intrigue, Sex, Hotel Rooms, and Dogs.

That's the first on your list - King, Saul, Cooke and co. It's funny to see someone who allows the NY Times Bestsellers list to dictate their reading habits. Why not throw John Grisham on that list as well.

    Overall, hardly wholesome reading, Mooney.

Grace Livingston Hill? Don't know that one, but Janet Oke is painfully bad and droll. Why not someone more interesting like Frank Pereti? Patricia M. St. John might be more your speed though.

Are you familiar with the works of Dr. Francis Schaeffer? He wrote very extensivly about the nature of Christian Art. His son Franky Schaeffer, whom you may be more familiar with, wrote a book a few years ago (80's) entitled "Addicted to Mediocrity". I would highly recomend that for your reading. I'm sure that you could find great inspiration there.

    I'm really not joking now.

I agree, Purple. As for my books, no chart makes me buy a book. I buy a book because I like the author or the subject matter. Matter of fact, I do have Frank Peretti in my bookcases and love him. I merely gave a small sample of the enormous amount of books that I have. I have somewhere in the vicinity of hundreds, if not thousands of books. I am constantly reading. I have been reading since I was 2 years old (according to my brother), and adore books. So do my girls. I have several books that I have bought or been given. I'm saving them (do you know how hard it is to not buy a book and immediately start reading it?) for next week, when we move. I love certain sci-fi books, as well....including the Dune series. Wow, I even enjoy old series, such as Nancy Drew, and old Lois Duncan and Joan Lowery Nixon and many other young adult authors. And, yes, I read biographies and keep up with what's going on in the news and such. This woman is no ignorant person. I keep very well informed as to what's going on in the world. It's fun to read! And, yes, to quote Schoolhouse Rock....Knowledge is power!

Once again, a faux pas. Moon doesn't read bestsellers. In fact, when someone suggests one to her, she simply says, "No way!"

I don't read things based on popularity. Never have, never will. My tastes run deeper than that.

Oh yes, my reading preferences include the likes of Dumas, Shakespeare, Christie (that would be Agatha), a smattering of young adult (for that is the genre I write for...a favorite being the mutiple award winner Avi), & Christian novelists (but none of that Left Behind garbage). As of late, my reading has been reserved to reference texts & Bruce Campbell's autobiography. And since I work with other authors, I've read a good amount of new & upcoming talent in several subjects.

Peretti is a WONDERFUL author. He's definitely not into the "fluff" writing that a lot of Christian novelists are. I really appreciate that. Like I said before, this lady doesn't read romance. Especially formulatic romances. BORING...

Exactly, Moon. I have Shakespeare's complete works, myself. I read SO much. And, yes, some of the authors I read now may be famous, but when I discovered them back in the 70's and 80's....they weren't all that well known or popular. It's rare to see a book I own on the bestseller lists. I own too many for that...LOL. I read for pleasure and yes, to learn.

My bad, I read a Willow post thinking that it was from Moon.

I would still recomend that if you two are very serious that you check out Francis Schaeffer's "How should we then Live" and pretty much anything from the "L'Abri Fellowship."
