Array Thank you, GW...I'm VERY picky about what I read. But I will consider checking out the books you suggested.
Have you read Peretti, GW? Which works? He's also done some non fiction that is interesting. "Words are, of course, the most powerful drug used by mankind."

Peretti – Yes I’ve read “This Present Darkness” and “Piercing the Darkness”, but that was some time ago. It was good in the fact that it wasn’t some airy-fairy obviously moralistic rag, but it was stealing a little too much from say the Screwtape letters to have been a real creative genius. It’s been awhile, but would I be correct in saying that it was more or less CS Lewis meets Chuck Colson? For sure he is better than most though. I AM SCRUBDEATH! YOU ARE DEFEATED! -

Thanks, Steve. I've actually been using that one for years...usually to describe our clients here at work. Obviously, however, it can be used to describe other kinds of the tragic wast of genetic material.
Willow...I read Dune all the way through in one sitting...travelling by bus from San Antonio, Texas to Biloxi, Mississippi (Air Force basic training to tech school). I actually finished as we went throughthe front gates. The movie came out while I was in tech school, and to say I was dissapointed is like saying GW's a moron. I know it's highly difficult to boil down any large book -- particularly one as involved as Dune -- down to movie length, but it was just SOOOOOOO bad. A true travesty of a sci-fi classic
That's probably the main reason why David Eddings refuses to entertain or allow movification of any of his works. While I would dearly love to see the Belgariad and Mallorean onthe big screen, it ain't a' gonna happen. -

Array Funny how - when he finally decides to put his mind to it - GW actually is capable of posting something that isn't deliberately offensive or aimed at someone in particular. That last post was something I could actually read without experiencing heartburn.
See, GW? If you try, you can actually be tolerable. 'Course, your rep is trashed already, so I wouldn't hold too much hope of anyone here actually liking you...not that that's too big a worry.
