The new store is doing great and we have a very large display area which includes one of every item hanging on the wall....well I decided to price them to make it easier for shoppers so I purchased one of those little taggers... (anyone see where this is going yet?)
I proceed to print up the tags and load the little tag gun thingie....and start figuring out where to put it...hmmmm...maybe the collar......nope not going thru.....ummm maybe by the zipper....nope not going thru.......dang it now I'm getting frustrated freaking fracking cheap gun....waste of money....dag blassss.......wait....ummmm gee i feel stupid...
15% off coupon to the first person who figures out why I am a moron today........

Don't you have a satin label in it? I think that is where most garment manufacturers put them to prevent damage to the item.
As for why you are a moron I really wouldn't like to comment but then I don't need the 15% off anyway! -

Array Would it have something to do with the guy named Newton? -

smart choice on the passing on the moron comment...you still haven't lived down the "we let you go back in 1776, we could take you back anytime we wanted" comment from Miami snicker...

Hey Rick,
Does your gun look something like these http://www.tach-it.com/tagging_guns.html ?

Array You gotta see the positive, in this though. Take this as a shining endoresment that as long as you're wearing your tighty whites, roving street gangs of sabreurs won't be able to jab you in the gut with a pricing gun and make off with your wallet. -

Array Are you trying to say that the pricing tags won't go through the ballistic fabrics?
Are you trying to shoot it through?
I have been using something that looks like the tagging guns on masks for years. Works fine.
Push the needle of the tagging gun through the fabric, squeeze the handle, bingo.
What you don't want is for the end of the tag to hang up between layers of a garment, then you can't get it out.
So called ballistic fabrics are not resistant to needles, the threads just move aside. Or else how could they make garments from the fabric? They are resistant to blunt impact, like a bullet. They are well known to be susceptible to thin weapons, like an ice pick. Whoopee! My avatar is back. -
I am pleased that I am no longer so new that I didn't get this (although it did take me a moment, to be fair).
Great story, and thank you for sharing! -

Array Oh dang... I didn't notice the 15% off thing, or I would have said something when I looked earlier and no one had posted yet. "I'd imagine a label gun has difficulty puncturing a jacket meant to stop a broken blade" -

So does that puffy faced Pillsbury dude. -
You need to get back to the gym Rick.. and to think you look so big and tough
A pricing gun will easily pierce 4 or more layers of 800 Newton material see picture here: http://www.leonpaulnews.com/uploads/gun.jpg -
