You say 'win', I say 'stupid, dangerous, bad fencing, and if deliberate, then being a tool'.

But hey, whatever gets you the point right?

Oh wai...

What you must understand here, that it was an accident, and it was totally unintended. If I were stupid enough, I'd do a running fleche into his mask right into his face, and using my other hand to block.

Just for my own edification, were you formally and properly taught the fleche, or did you just see a whole lot of people do it in tournaments and figured it looked cool?

It's not the fact that you did this that I find the most offensive, it's the fact that you did it and thought it was so amazingly awesome, when in fact it's not. You know what's awesome? Someone on the piste who looks like they know what the hell they're doing. You know what isn't? Someone slamming into their opponent because they fleched straight at them, for one.

No, wrong, what Invictus did was awesome and hilarious. Good fencing can be awesome too but is not necessarily so.

Perhaps I haven't elaborated on the actual fleche. I was taught the fleche formally by an instructor. The thing was, I fleched, and at the same time was also about to attack, but he turned the same direction I was fleching in. I tried to stop, but too late.

Ay caramba.

Perhaps the no-crossover no-fleche rule needs to migrate from sabre to epee...

And how would that help this foil bout?

Don't you dare take my crossovers. It's a great way to influence my opponent into thinking that I'm an idiot, and making him underestimate me. And then fleching is just fun.

Quite naturally, I assumed that only an epeeist would do something like that.

Foolish of me. A moment's reflection would have reminded me that it was far too energetic an action for an epeeist.
