| Bummer... I was thinking of going to the qualifiers for experience, but I want to be able to go to the JO's if I qualify.

Treat the qualifier the way you would any other local tournament. Go fence, get your experience, forget/ignore the fact that it also (might) allows you to attend a future event (which you can't attend due to other reasons).
Then go and additionally attend the Hangover.

| Well, the tournaments are 2ish hours away, and I don't have a drivers license. So I can usually make it to about one per month. I'm gonna be at the hangover open anyways, and I doubt I'll be able to make it back up for the JO qualifiers only a few days after the Hangover. |
