This nerd-o-meter gives us an accurate measure of the NERDINESS of each of the Arconian members. NERDINESS is measured on a scale from 0 (not at all nerdy) to 100 (extremely nerdy) based on the daily posts of its members.
The purpose of this scale is to allow first time viewers of the Fantasy Page a quick look at who and who not to read, so as to not be consumed by the nerd plague. This scale is updated as frequently as you like, and by anyone who cares to add to it.

The funny thing is, as a writer, I fully admit to AND enjoy my "nerdliness." So, if that was an attempt at a cut down...it was pretty weak.

I think that there has been some confusion. The people here perpetuating this world are not nerds, and should not be confused with them. In this day and age (real world reference)nerds have become rather fasionable and even desirable. It is obvious that what we are dealing with here are not "nerds" but rather "LOSERS". We should remember that.

Could someone let me know if foul language is indeed aloud in this section? I have using restraint, but I keep seeing you people using words like "pissed".

Willow? Did you learn that o-so-funny bumper sticker humor from moon? remember to tithe girls!

I have written a tiny part of a story, yet I am something like the 5th biggest nerd. How come?

Why isn't George washington a Nerd? Anyone who starts each message with "All your ** are now belong to us" has to be a touch on the nerdy side... grammar wise...

And anyone who bothers to work out a measaurement of nerdyness, count each person's quotes etc... That's not nerdy?

In england, the word pissed refers to being drunk, and even there it still considered a little vulgar. Just because they can say it on TV don't meant it ain't swearing. IMHO implied swearing (i.e. F***) is in equally bad taste. It even shows a lack of personal charactar, because the implied swearer has the intention to be in good taste and yet does not have the skill to express himself otherwise.

I request that these threads not be "yanked" by anyone as that would be flat out censorship of my ideas. I do not express my ideas offensively (some of you do, I don't).

You guys have had a lot of fun here, now it's time to move your little world to it's own little fantasy website. This is after all a fencing website, and yet there is more fantasy stuff posted on it than fencing stuff. Out of respect for the intention of this site, and it's other users, please move. I'm not asking you shut down your pretend lives, just get them where they belong.

And I'll turn the light out for ya'

Who is the bigger loser...the people who post on a board to indulge in some fun fantasy writing...or the person who comes onto that board to say nonsensical things about them?

Lemme repeat what I've already said: This "loser" gets PAID to write fiction. This "loser" signs autographs. This "loser" makes guest appearances.

I dont think Craig would have given fantasy a home if he didnt respect the creative writing being done here. My message to those who believe we should just go away is this : Dont post here. Go to any other part of the website and express yourselves.
If you insist on coming into the world of fantasy, then leave your twisted reality somewhere else. We cant force you to leave but we WILL not go away. Arconia and fantasy writing will be defended.

Overall a slow day for nerdiness on the board. Arcon gains a few points with some nerdy hostility toward non-nerds, and the Dame D'Escrime tops the charts at a whopping 90 nerd points. Nerdy action should pick up a little tomorrow as the temperature goes up (nerds don't like to play outside in hot weather, but rather focus on indoor nerdy activities like Arconia posts.)
