    Searching For a New Mask

I'm looking for a quality, low end mask. Ive used the Triplette 183 and LOVE the way it fits, but it is damaged easily, and many other masks are bulky or dont fit well. I've been told to look into the LP Contour mask, but its outside my price range (~<$75 USD) so is there a descent mask out there that fits well for around $75? I know low price and quality are usually exclusive, but im a poor college student so money is tight. and im sure anything would be a step up from our clubs old Blue Gauntlet masks. Thanks for taking the time to answer another common n00bie question thread!

Do you really expect any different responses from what you have already received in your previous thread?

The number of masks available in the price range you've given is limited, as is the number of places to buy them. You've already been advised to stay away from the Triplette mask so why not look around, see what else you might be interested in and ask for opinions.

You may also want to check the equipment reviews available right here on Fencing.net.

I'm not a fan of BG or Triplette masks. Absolute is probably the best you are going to do at your price point. But as others have said, if you can, take the step up to a mask in the low $100 range. The LP after all is only $30 more than what you are planning on spending. It will last you much longer and you will feel much safer wearing it.

One of my teammates has this mask. The fencing.net mask is the best of that price range. Other than the fencing.net mask, Absolute is your best bet.

In fact, why not just get the beginner set from fencing.net?
