Array What do you drink during practice and tournaments? What do you drink during practice or tournaments? "I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. And from this side only! The flight of a half-man, half-bird. Dinosaurs nuzzling their young in pastures where strip malls should be. Cookies on dowels. All those moment, lost in time. Gone, like eggs off a hooker's stomach. Array Water at practice. Water in pools. When I run out of water (1 or 2 bottles) I switch to Gatorade because by then I'm starting to run out of breakfast-power and I'll crash without the Gatorade calories. -

Array Water at practice. Coffee before early-morning competitions, water mixed w/sports drink during competitions, soda once I'm done (it makes me feel bad if I drink it during competitions). -

Array Well kill me.
I forgot to add booze to the poll.
I'm an idiot.

Array If there is nothing at all to drink , I'll drink my urine sometimes.
Got to stay hydrated and salvage those nutrients some how. Yea, I'm still a noob. Big WOOP. Wanna fight about it? -
Gatorade in practice, and Accelerade if I take the time to make it. Powdered drink with energy crap and protein. Covers all the bases. "I'm not going to say anything because nobody believes me when I do." - Ringo Starr -
I drink a half water half gatorade concoction, and regular water. (\ /)

Array Enough caffeine to get me up and going, either in the form of coffee or energy drink, and gatorade after that. - Epee is the Louis Vuitton bag of fencing: only the best can get it, and the rest of the masses must content themselves with cheap knockoffs (sabre, foil)

Water.
If it's a tournament that I know will be long and is important to me, I'll bring some Gatorade. -

Array Coffee until I begin to warm up. Water after that. Sometime Gatorade in the DE's depending on how I feel. "If you find yourself in a fair fight, your tactics suck." -

I'm an idiot. No, it's just that no one can resist the power of the Flaws... Use the Shift key, people! Keyboard manufacturers everywhere are ineffably saddened when you ignore what they made just for you! -

After the pools I'll drink some Gatorade or I have some sports drink powder from Capri Sun that mixes into a pint bottle of water. Between periods in the DE I drink from 8-oz bottles of water. That seems to do pretty well. The spirit is willing, but the fleche is weak. -

Array I sweat like a pig, so I drink Gator Aid/sports drinks the day BEFORE a tournament. I think it helps with the electrolyte imbalance that can come the next day and cause cramping.
Once in while if I will "power up" with a sugar free Red Bull before pools. It depends on how early I had to get up to drive to the tournament.
I drink water the rest of the time. I try not to drink Gator Aid/sports drinks during the tournament because of the sugar they contain. If I am
sweating bad or feel a tinge of cramping in my weapon hand, I will drink a little Gator Aid, but I prefer to cut it 1:1 with water.
I should mention that I had some bad cramps when the weather was hot and I was at a camp. Sense then I spend a little more time hydrating before tournaments and taking supplements. I have lately added a potassium supplement the day before a tournament. Please note, that I have no idea if this is a good thing or not. I am experimenting on myself and it seems to work for me. -

Array Urine...hell, if Bear Grylls can do it out in the wild, why not do it on the piste? Ha ha, piste on the piste...get it? Blondes, brunettes or redheads? Personally I prefer epee girls; they are not afraid to touche all over. -

PS Cytomax It's not your drinking blood that bothers me. It's that you spill it.
