| Nien Has Inspired Me!!! So at work yesterday I had and idea (inspired by Nien )…..F.net secret Santa….no it’s not as insane as it sounds really! So here's how it works every one who wants to participate will PM me or just post in here that they want to play, on December 5 (or around then) I will put all the names in a hat, pull one out for each person, and PM each person a random name. Then each person makes a fake user name and PM’s their person random Christmas notes, maybe a Christmas picture or two, and Rep….Did that make any since?
It’s not quite the same as normal secret Santa, but there’s still the fun of trying to figure out who he/she is
What say you?

#2: "Christmas pictures"? Elon1990?
I'd take some "Christmas pictures" from some Nurses though.

It's just not worth any points.

| They're grey because they don't count for anything until you hit a certain number of posts. 30 rings a bell, but I'm not sure if it's the right bell or not....

| I wouldn't even begin to know how to set up a fake account. I could always have couch lump , Nick or Rachel set up one

-B | Not to mention the fact that all 'fake' accounts would add to the F.Net account database -- for no good reason.
Count me out. I already have an account, thank you.

What say you? | Hobbit, you might want to PM Craig and see if this is ok with him. It is against the forum rules to have two accounts for the same person. He might not like it. |

| Why does there need to be a second account at all? When you Secret Santa, who you have/who has you is kept secret until the actual giving of the gift - at that point it's okay to reveal who Santa'd who.
Why not just make a collective Secret Santa thread at appropriate time, and then everyone can post their "gift" there all at once on the appointed day. (Or post to tell the recipient to check their PM inbox if it' too personal/embarrassing to share otherwise.) This way, everyone can share in each other's fun, and there's no need for creating second accounts that Craig will have to clear out later. |

| I agree... there's already too many aliases in the database already. Craig shut down having alternate identities. I suspect it isn't impossible, but it is more difficult than it once was.
This would work much better if everyone used their own identity to send their messages.
In either case... count me out. My mailbox is nearly full as it is.
