| Need En Garde definition help An interesting situation....I'm starting a new Sr drum corps up here in the L.A. area....we just picked a name last week.
My personal choice was Project Alchemy, but the name En Garde was voted in.
Obviously, as someone who makes his LIVING from the sport, i'm quite pleased....but I', having a devil of a time finding a definition of the term aside from the basic defensive stance of fencing.
What I;m looking for is something along the lines of other corps names like "Vanguard" (in the forefront) or "Excelsior" (ever upward)
Ideas??? |

Works especially well since I plan to arrange "Hey, Look me Over" from the Broadway show "Wildcat" as a corps tune....if I can ever get a copy of the dang thing...I know my father's got a copy of the album, but I doubt he can find it.... |

Hey look him over, he's your kind of guy.
His first name is Birch and his last name is Bayh.
It's terrible the things one remembers into old age. |

No, he won and was re-elected several times. The tune was credited with his election and I note his son, Evan Bayh, is now our Senator.
It's counter-intuitive. |

| Well, I think it's a good example that marketing doesn't depend on good taste, just recallability... |
