| Reality checks... Okay, so I think I have a vague grasp on what's going on in Arconia, but I just want to confirm. And ask some clarifying questions.
Naekos is chief of security, comes from some far off land, and is a weapons master. He hates Jo, for some reason.
Blade comes from the same place, and is an adventurer.
Master (Lady) Rosaline is head of the military.
Angelo Dewpawnt is Naekos' right-hand man.
Angelo and Rosaline are developing a "thing" for each other (if I'm reading it right).
Lady Josephine (Jo) is...who?
She was raped by George Washington, and is pregnant. She somehow figures into some tension between Arcon and Zelda, but I haven't figured out what, yet. She also was sweet on Naekos, but something happened to queer the deal.
Serana is Naekos' squeeze, and a (serving maid? lady in waiting to the queen? lute-player? insurance actuary? auto mechanic? help me out here).
She also has some relationship with George Washington (father, maybe?) which will possibly lead to a half-sister or half-aunt relationship with Jo.
Steve is the publican from the Bitter End Pub. What else he might be, I don't know.
Fermi is some mysterious stranger who has just arrived on the scene. I'm sure we'll learn more of his background sometime during the ball.
Meekal the Daft is prince (former prince?) of Muu...wherever and whatever Muu is. He is a rock collector and sweet on Lady Moon, who despises him. He's also dumb as a hammer.
Lady Moon is a scribe, and princess (former princess?) of Schoolcraftia.
Zarcon is Arcon's Evil Twin, and is currently in chains.
If that's accurate, fine. If not, please let me know how things fit together.
Questions:
Who was/is George Washington? What is his relationship to Serana?
What happened between Arcon, Zelda, and Jo?
What happened between Naekos and Jo?
What is Jo's position, if any, in Arconia?
What is Moon's current status? Is she related to any of the other characters? Is she in exile? Or just on vacation?
How old is everyone? (Relatively speaking...just a range would work.)
Thanks in advance.

| Whew you scared. For moment there I thought you meant REALITY.
I'll tell you about JO.
First she was not raped by GW. GW raped Lady Ledgerto. Jo was the result. (Long time ago). GW was some guy that kept ragging on us and being quite nasty about Fantasy issues. I warned him that if he didn't cease that I would suck him into Fanatsy Land. Which I did by way of the "Hammer" story. Later I killed him in the "Aftermath"
Now as for Jo and Naekos. You'll need to read the first Ballroom threads to get the full story on how they began. Then move to the Aftermath to finish them. In short. Lady Ledgerto knew that someone wanted her dead. She had gone to Naekos to ask his help with Jo incase something should happen to her. It happened at the first Ball. She was assassinated and died in NAekos' arms. He imediately took the bull by horns so to speak by snatching up Jo and spiriting her away to his cottage. He tried to train her to protect herself, but she wasn't very cooperative. Instead she got a major crush on him and drove him away.
At this point she is in transition. Her character is evoloving. She is ready to move on, leave Naekos alone (no guarantee), and find her nitch in Arconia. She is currently unattached and flighty, tries to be independant, etc.
Jo and Zelda..Zelda has tried to 'mother" jo so to speak. Afet Jo broke the camel's back, Zelda placed her in the eastern tower fro a two week cool-down period (happened to corispond to my vacation) Jo was not happy with her solitary confinement so when the opportunity presented itself she ran away. She has yet to face Zelda about that issue.
Jo and Arcon..what can I say? She's youthful and attractive. He's the king. He apprecitiates youth and beauty. Could there be soemthing there? I'll never tell. That would spoil the fun.
Jo and Steve...nothing going on there. He just happened to be in the hall on the way to the ball.
Jo and Fermion...watch for developments.
Jo and Loch... she noticed the noticing and is tickled.
Did I leave anything out?

| LOL My you have done your research! Alright Jo is pretty much explained, and no I dont think you left anything out. Me (Rosaline) and Angel. .well I'm not exactly sure. He's the one that wanted to ask me. I just did the lady like thing and accpeted. We'll see what happens. Angelo is also a head knight, and head of the Arconian secret service. (I cant remember if you left that out or not.) This mysterious man in black who knows, but things might get interesting. Muu is basicly Arconias 'rival' shall we say? (If you have read search for the sword you will kind of understand. Then find the thread when oh its called Quest for Tellurine that'll explain alot to. About Lady Moon and Meekal and Muu.) Yea, I think thats about it. Oh Zarcon, yes for now he is in chains, but a lot of vilans have escaped. (I've been meaning to talk to Angelo and the king about that matter.) Umm. .yea now did I leave anything out?

| Let's not forget about Wooden Bob!
He'd be at the ball, but dancing is difficult for him. He has no left feet.

| Nękos is more in charge of an elite strike force, offensive/rescue, than defensive. Go WAY back and read "The Longest Night" for clarification.
Jo had a thing for Nękos for a while, but he's not real good with the subtle stuff. Once he realized what she thought of him, it clicked. All the things that had happened to her. He bailed in an attempt to cool her down. (Coincided with my moving) It didn't work, so he had to tell her off. That seems to have worked.
Blade is a Talruum, one of the race of elite sabrists. Not quite human, much less book-smart. Their bad reputation comes from rogue males who go out raiding (rather like lions). Blade seems to be considered a rogue, though this is questionable. He also brings news that the rogues have come together in their own clan, which is BAD NEWS for all concerned (Not Arconia).
Angelo used to be Nękos' right-hand man, but was taken to head the A.S.S. Not Nękos' choice, but he went with it.
The spoiling element with Jo/Nękos is his past. Four females in the past had fallen for him, and died shortly after, or somebody close had died, and he'd been driven off. He knew the same had almost happened to Jo several times, and he couldn't continue to rescue her - as her feelings became stronger, the attacks would be faster, until he couldn't react in time.
Nękos went for Serana, thinking she's different for one important reason - HE is the one who likes HER, not he other way around. Serana is in training, a squire. She's already good with weaponry, but getting better. Part of what attracted Nękos to her in the first place.
Meekal is absolutely hilarious, especially when paired with Wooden Bob.
Age range...hmm. If you go by the writing, Nękos strongly resembles me (except for physical appearance). I'm 16 right now, and write him that way several times. However, a sentence in "The Longest Night", and simply the number of years accounted for in his history would put him in his early twenties. We kind of just assume that everybody's ages are roughly compatible.

| Angel, our info goes WAY back, close to the beginning of this whole experience.
Yes, my "real name" is Buffy, princess of Schoolcraftia. Angel is a prince of Muu (so is Meekal...poor Angel!). We both ended up in Arconia after running away before our forced marriage to one another, but we didn't find out until recently that we were each other's "intended."
The king of Muu has a price on my head, for thwarting not one but TWO weddings. Mummy & Daddums will probably hunt me down at some point. Then there's Lord Tellurine. He has a marriage certificate that he wants Meekal & I (heck, or Angel & I) to sign to unite the army of Muu with the money of Schoolcraftia.
Oh, yeah...I'm also the ROYAL scribe, & a knight. I think that about covers me.

| Another thing- Serana isn't really connected to Washington, except for that she tried to save Jo from him once. Nękos also killed her father, but to protect Jo (long story), and she still isn't really quite sure about their relationship. You'll have to read a lot of stuff, lol.

| I will take the head of Lochinvar, present it to my brother Arcon. His heart will then find my blade.
My Zarconian warriors will take Arconia
and make it ours. This i vow.
