FIE vs Standard electric

If my daughter is planning on going to the Jr. Olympics will she need an FIE electric weapon? She does foil. Also, we are looking for new, wired blade only. She likes medium stiffness, any suggestions?

StM blades have medium stiffness. Pretty much any vendor carries them.

FIE blades aren't necessary for the Junior Olympics, but electric weapons are.

In case you don't know, she will actually need a minimum of two electric foils and body cords. I usually recommend to have 3 or 4 foils to my fencers. IIRC JO's also requires the fencers name on the back or leg
