    Tutoring Table At Tounaments?

How feasible would it be to have a "Tutoring Table" at national tournaments? or even a "Study Group Table?

I think that sounds like a great idea. My kiddo always has bucket loads of work to do. It is more fun to study with someone.
The only issue that I can see is the table location. It would have to be in a place where it didn't look like the welcoming committee.
That wouldn't be a bad idea either.
First table, "hello hello, what's new, blah blah"
Next table, "sit down and get busy!"
    Perfect solution

LOL...Kinda like "Hey, what's up? How did you do today and do you know how to find x and y? 3x-5y=25
    2x+3y=45

    Yeah, something like that.

    (300/19, 85/19) Can I go fence now?

    That is a good idea.

In theory it's a good idea, but in reality....hmm, I think it might not work out that a lot of studying goes on.

What I have observed over the last several years is that the kids really look forward to visiting with friends from other places. I present as evidence the amount of myspace/facebook traffic that goes on between fencers before and after a NAC.

A studying room set up with wifi would be great but I agree, not sure how much studying will get done.

My son brought work to Dallas but was compelled to go to the venue on his non-fencing day to see his friends fence but he was also worried about doing work. If there was a designated area for him to do work at the venue, I think he would've been able to do some work, go and watch, then, go back to do some more without trekking back to the hotel. Also, if there are some other kids who are older or better at certain subjects, may be, they could have helped in some subject matters. He doesn't take Spanish but there was a kid in our group who needed help and none of us were good enough to help him.

    Just a thought...
