| The NHL Thread OK, I know hockey is not so popular among you Southerners, but we up here in the North like it. So for all fans of the world's fastest game, here's your chance to chime in.
What are your predictions for the rest of the season? Who's going to win the Stanley Cup? Who's going to choke?

| I hope the Red Wings continue their winning streak.
Did you see the hit the guy from Boston took a few weeks back. OMG. We all stood around the tv waiting to see if he'd come around. I was glad to see they taped his legs and arms, and left the stretcher low. Sorry, off on a tangent.
Rachel wants to go to Boston College or Maine to play hockey

| I did see that hit, but I can't remember the player's name. Very scary.
I'm covering the Sabres-Leafs game tonight, which should be a good time. Buffalo-Toronto is a heated rivalry.

| Formula 1 is fast but I don't think it qualifies as a game. Just my opinion.

| hockey = game
Formula 1 = race
I thought that was pretty evident. When was the last time you played Formula 1?

| OK, back to the topic of hockey, I can't believe how poorly the Sabres are playing. They won the Presidents Trophy last year and now sit near the bottom of the entire league. I'm sure the team won't stay there for long; it has too much talent. But it emphasizes how much a difference two players can make. Losing Daniel Briere and Chris Drury, who aren't exactly tearing up the ice on their new teams, has plunged Buffalo into mediocrity.
On the other hand, Ottawa is REALLY good this year. This does not help the Sabres' cause.

| Oh, and Nick's full name is.."Nicklas" like in Nicklas Lindstrom. I chose the name and couch lump chose the spelling. It was ok with me. We like hockey around here. There is even an autographed picture of Steve Y, by the computer

It's pretty big here, so I wouldn't say it's not that big in the south. In fact there is more interest here than there is for the Bruins back home in Maine right now.
As for my prediction, Carolina back in the finals.

| It's going to be Calgary. They've got the talent, and now they're more experienced than they were a few years ago.
I hope!
