| The shoes do run big. I think mine are a half size bigger than the stated size when compared to other shoes. It might be difficult to exchange them when everything is out of stock.
I am really happy with them. The traction is great, they are light, the forefoot is flexible, the heel is well padded, and they look even better in person.

| I really hope they run big, because I had to order a half size down from what I wanted. They were out of size 9's in the blue one ! I wear a 10 in women's and I just hope that they work... I don't want to have to bother with sending them back! I could have gotten 9's in another color, but well that just wouldn't do! I wouldn't be whiteandbluefencer anymore!

| Only Received One Shoe! I got mine today. I ordered on July 31st ($220 / refund = $160).
Haven’t fenced with them yet, but they pass the smell test. The swoosh on the insole (I don’t know the term) is set further back and sewn in like it was tattooed. The outside swoosh sticks out like a pillow.
These shoes are built for business. The insole is very rigid but comfortable. Heel is well cushioned and the toe is reinforced. The ridges on the sole will help with foot bending.
Very sticky sole but appears durable. First thing to go will be the treading. Should easily handle A year of competitive (>20 hours a week) fencing if not much longer.
They did run about a half a size large. I ordered a bit small so it’s all good.
My extensive study of these shoes has lasted less than twenty minutes. None of that fencing.
Not a review, just a first impression. The blue is more of a Columbia / Carolina than PSU. Should have gone with the Scarlet. |

| It's our effort that got them to $160 Just got an email from my contact with Nike. I had taken him to task for the price being $220 vs. the promoted price range ending at $150 and directed him to this thread to show the number of people that were going to opt-out based on the $220 price point. Quote: |
I want to thank you for this note. It was very helpful in the negotiations with the Nike Store folks. They increased the price for reasons unknown to me. But thanks to you we were able to pressure them to reduce the price. It is now be priced at $160.
| So, your feedback IS important and Nike IS listening.

| Fwiw, neither the treading nor any other parts of the shoes seem to have shown much wear (outside of a bit of dirt) during the months we've been using/testing them.

| if the stabils I ordered don't fit, I'm gonna send them back and buy a pair of these, assuming the coupon code still works.

| The codes will work for a bit. In case anyone is still in need of them, the 20 percent off coupon is BACKTOSPORT and the free shipping coupon is FALLFREESHIP (yes, it is case sensitive)
I just ordered two pairs (i will be returning the pair that doesn't fit) and I can't wait for their arrival. It's my first ever pair of fencing shoes. |

| I haven't received a shipping confirm but I posted my order last night at 11:30 pm so it may not be shipped until tomorrow (saturday) according o the Nike customer service website.
It only ships the next day is you place the order before 7 pm. (and that probably doens't always happen anyhow) |

| Guys, calm down about your orders shipping. Call Nike if you want to bother someone, but asking people on the forum what's going on with Nike shipping/charging isn't going to get you anywhere.
