| I'm too superstitious to make predictions, but I'm going to the game tomorrow night (and missing open fencing for it, too) so the Sox had better win for me! |

This video takes place during one of the later bouts during the NJSIAA (nj high school) Fencing Squad State Championships in North Hunterdon, NJ; I am not a foil fencer, so I ended up just goofing around near the end when it became readily apparent that we had no chance in hell of making up a 20+ bout deficit. |

Obstructed view seats, a little girl surrounded by men who were desperately trying to control thier language. It was great. I remember Bird's first game. The Celtics are the only Boston team that I still cheer for. |

We sat in the "family" section, they were playing the Diamondbacks (our adopted team after moving from Boston to AZ) and I wore my DBacks World Series Jersey (after they had beat the Yankees)...some people talked amiably about how happy they were that the DBacks beat the Yankees ("I root for two teams, the Red Sox, and anyone that beats the Yankees") while others rained down the f-bombs, beer, etc. (in the family section, mind you)...
His welcome to Red Sox Nation...he loved it, because he was, and still is, a Red Sox fan.

Scheduling aside, I think it might be a good idea but I'm not ready to commit one way or the other yet. |

Absolutely NO to a 9 game series. In fact, they need to shorten the season sufficiently so that the world series is over before the end of October. Then make the NBA wait to start their season until the world series is over. Reorganize MLB's divisions and eliminate the wild card and scrap the designated hitter. Make the pitcher a real baseball player who has to bat.
Thank you. I really needed to get that off my chest.

Thank you. I really needed to get that off my chest. | Daisuke Matsuzaka hit a solid double last night. I wouldn't have expected it from an AL pitcher. |

| In the game I watched he hit a somewhat soft 2-run single.
And seemed to be putting good swings on the ball in his other two plate appearances.
Not too shabby overall.
