    Flynn Memorial

Hi, I need money. I was invited to reff the Flynn Epee memorial at Bucks County, but I have no way of getting there. Anyone coming from NYC and want to give me a ride there?

I guess your first sentence explains why you're not fencing in it. That's a shame -- it's shaping up to be quite a nice event.

I had to drop out -- my knee's not as much better as I'd hoped. But I'll be reffing, so with luck I'll see you there. Come on, somebody give this man a ride!

Robert Flynn. Information on the FRED page for the tournament.

I might be going, depending on how I feel at the end of this week from job stress. If so, I was planning on going out afterwards with a couple of friends for a quick bite, if you don't mind that (that is the real reason I want to go).

Regarding the memorial, it is for Robert (Bob) Flynn, a fencer that unfortuately passed away while at a tournament. He was a very nice guy, and his father had won a bronze medal in the 1948 Olympics in the team sabre.

EDEW, you may remember him from your Salle Csiszar days, as he used to pop in there every once in awhile.

Entry has been reopened, Rick. It had been closed, but we only need one more A to make it a potential A4 ...

Take note, everyone, there will be no late registrations or walk-ins this year. Registration is open on AskFRED until midnight Wednesday night.
