correct, but if its an electric Epee, you will need: barrel, tip, wire, screws, springs and socket. Not to mention a body cord.

With Italian Epee's, its a bit trickier since the guard and grip are one piece. I know that Fencing Post is still working to get their parts. AmFence can put together an Italian Epee for around 120.00. Still, beware the France Lames blades that are used. The only France Lames blade I've ever owned snapped with only a few weeks use, and I'm not rough on blades.

If your ordered the Epee from TCA, then they do not have any Blaise Frere blades in stock. They called me a week ago to tell me that the Blaise blades are back ordered, it could be several months before they get another shipment.

The main problem with FL is quality control. The Epee blade you are getting may last for years, or it may break the first time you hit anything with it; you just don't know.

    Being a french grip fencer, I don't know the difference between 6 & 8mm.

Yes, I called TCA a few weeks ago and the only epee's they had were FL. But if they're out of BF, does that mean that they're out of electric & practice blades? Maybe they're out of complete weapons, but have blades? Anyways, will I have to get a special bell to fit an electric blade, or all are the parts pretty much universal between electric and practice? <img src="confused.gif" border="0">

I would imagine that it only means that they are out of blades. I am guessing that TCA gets shipments of dry and unwired blades. They then take their other parts and put the weapons together.
