| Johan Harmenberg to speak at NJFA - Maplewood,NJ Wednesday, October 24, 2007 7:30-8:45 pm
New Jersey Fencing Alliance, 50-58 Burnett Avenue, Maplewood, NJ
Johan Harmenberg of Sweden was 1977 World Individual and Team Epee Champion and 1980 Olympic Individual Gold Medalist. He is a member of the management team for Swedish Fencing and has just returned from the World Championships in St. Petersburg. His new book, entitled Fencing 2.0, is coming out next week.
His thesis is that it's possible to neutralize superior technique and achieve victory by avoiding your opponent's strengths and forcing him to deal with yours, a concept that has been adopted all over the world but never explained systematically until now. He will discuss his thesis plus recount his improbable rise from fencing "failure" to the pinnacle of success.
Admission is free. Copies of Fencing 2.0 will be available for purchase. For more info contact Frank Mustilli at fencer0901@aol.com or 973-224-3448

| AGHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!
Does it have to be a Wednesday? That is my only fencing night, and I have to miss next week due to Halloween.
The guy is a God. A Norse Epee God.
Any chance we can get him to come to the NYAC during his stay? I'll guarantee a strong audience.
Rick

| So...Loki, then? Must be. If there's a god of epee it can only be Loki.
Or, considering the "Epeeists Only" thread, perhaps Braggi.
