Why am I going to Dallas???? | They have a full breakfast buffet apparently just no bar or restaurant. Not sure how they do it. We switched hotels since we like to eat at the hotel restaurant when we arrive in the evening. (Rather than walk around at night which apparently isn't an option here.)
On the THS website there isn't a restaurant listed under the description. It only states a free continental breakfast. http://thsweb.com/frameset-eventmain...rnamentID=2588
The hotel website states a full hot buffet breakfast daily but again nothing about a restaurant or bar. http://westendhoteldallas-px.trvlcli...amenities.html
The hotel does provide a shuttle but as to how often it runs is another question.

Also, Dallas really isn't a bad town. Great steaks may be had. Air fares and hotel prices are relatively reasonable. The venue (at least according to the layout I've seen) is huge - which is important since we have 52 strips.
And if your hotel doesn't have a restaurant itself it's probably right next to a Denny's or Waffle House.
On another note... If you send me a private message with a specific event or two (no more than two) I'd be willing to give you an estimate of the end of that event.

| Let me know how it goes someday, if you ever get around to it. I'd want a scouting report. |

Why am I going to Dallas???? | Yea, good question. And I live here. Of course, if the decision maker's had listened to those of us who live here and were making recommendations, they would have blown off the >Dallas< Convention Center, and looked more closely at the >Fort Worth< Convention Center....
*sigh*

| Even if Dallas had a least been used for another National event and not this one where all the competitors are under 25, can't rent cars and need the ability to be able to walk to get to places.

| OK, you locals, where's a good steak near the venue, that can hopefully accomodate a bunch of teens in warm-ups? (Dakota looks too rich for my crew's blood...) |

| Any Dallasites with comments about the Dallas Plaza Hotel, on the other side of I-30 from the convention center? The good news about the DP hotel is that it's just across the highway from the convention center. Very close to the venue. Another good news is that it's $45/night. The bad news is that it's $45/night.

GD | My only complaint is that Y14MS has a late start and the next day Cadet has an early check-in. That's going to be tough. |

| FYI: DART is right behind the Adams Mark. Very easy. A cab is $10.50 each way. The shuttle provided today by the USFA was unreliable as far as time. |
