The Rockies

I hate baseball, but I can't help but love this team.

Congratulations on making the World Series!

I was working in Denver on opening day 15 years ago. The lead off batter at Coors Field for the Rockies, Eric Young, hits a home run in the team's first official at-bat. The news director says watching the TV feed says: "Wow. This is a team of destiny!"

Only, we didn't realize at the time it was destiny+15.

Anyway....way to go Rockies!!

I am not permitted to root for the Rockies for the same reason I can't cheer for the Marlins. As expansion teams in 1993, they beat out Buffalo for entrance into MLB. Buffalo already had the stadium, but lacked the population. I'll bet we would have sold more tickets than the freaking Marlins, though!
