What I find interesting at the moment is the Iranian assassination threat. Who exactly in that region has a motive to assassinate Vladimir Putin? Iran has absolutely no good reason to want him dead, and neither do any Iranian fundamentalists due to the fact he's been keeping the Western European nations in their place and barking all over the place recently. The only possible connection I see is perhaps with Chechen separatists. Even then...that's a long reach for them.

The drollness of that one cannot be overstated...

Who knows, who can say. They were just back into the swing of things - We're like children, we're used to watching cold war spy thrillers. What would we be without Smiley's People and can we cope with a new reality? It may be a long time into the future. For now, we're just trying to keep up with the stuff that is constant and ongoing in the middle east and watch in morbid fascination as the price of oil goes up up up. We've covered so much ground on the board. Everything from the Mexican border thing - which is unreal - I had really hoped for a better design, something like diverting water into a manmade river with a more beautiful landscape around it, leading to some bridges that would have INS right there - and even a monument like the Statue of Liberty to welcome people - but it didn't turn out that way. Mores the pity.

Now they're all taking their shirts off!
