| I've just got back to London after refereeing all day for the foil. I refereed the women's semi without the US fencer in it. |

| Didn't Gerek just fence the Sr World Championships like a week and a half-ago? Geez, now his Junior season starts. What a life. I think the Meinhardts should buy a home in Germany and Shanghai.

| There were 4 American Fencers in the top 16 of JME (159 fencers).
1 TRAGER Matthew ITA
2 NYCZ Mateusz POL
3 FERRARIS Luca ITA
3 PITRA Pavel CZE
5 BLINOV Jevgeni EST 6 DUNCAN Corwin USA
7 HEREY Anatoliy UKR
8 MOUSSALLY Samy SUI 9 FRENCH Peter USA
10 PETERDI Andras HUN
11 MARKOVICS Thomas GER 12 MO Kevin USA
13 KECK Maximilian GER 14 YERGLER Jonathan USA
15 NICA Daniel ROU
16 GLANE Sebastian GER
The results were particularly good for J. Yergler, who barely made the team of 12 as alternate... and he is only a Cadet Fencer. I have been lucky to have fenced all 4 of them in the past 2 years.
