That's a good question. Probably because the guys that were running the event didn't think that an aromorer was necessary. The tournament wasn't so incredibly large that people were going to be there all day (the whole tourney was over by around 5ish on both days). Also, it wasn't like a NAC or Nationals, where you have a huge wait between pools and DE's.

Combine that with the fact that armorers usually get swamped with people asking them to fix weapons and you'd most likely be done fencing for the day by the time it got fixed.

So, that's probably the reason that an armorer wasn't a big concern for the tournament organizers.

This really wasn't so large an event that an armorer was necessary. I'm assuming that you're from Pris d'fer Fencing Club (You have PrFC next to your name and you're from MA). They only had one guy organizing all of the events in the bout comittee room (Dave Blake's younger bro). The larger tourneys will have several, each in charge of a different set of events. Those tourneys are also the ones that will tend to have armorers present.

Whoops. Just found out that this is Providence Fencing Club. Sorry about that. Maybe you know of the Blakes anyway?
