Array Happy Turkey Day to you too! Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. Perhaps I should start celebrating both of them so I can host two large family gatherings and dinners. I'm pretty sure i could get people to come. Reality is the original Rorschach.

Happy Turkey Day, yes? Personally... I like having Thanksgiving in October. It's closer to the traditional harvest time... the weather's nicer, it gives us a long weekend in October, but it's not so close to Christmas. My in-laws always butchered hogs on Thanksgiving in November. Partly because the weather was cold enough then and October would still be kind of warm down here. Partly because it gave you a double excust for a huge family dinner. Reality is the original Rorschach.

Array I would adore Thanksgiving in October. Our Nov. Thanksgiving gets pushed to the side the moment it's done so we can run out to the Black Friday sales at 5 am the next day. There's no time to bask in the actual giving of thanks before Christmas consumerism takes over.
Happy Thanksgiving, Canada. You have many reasons to give thanks. Artificial Intelligence is no match for Natural Stupidity Why is abbreviation such a long word? -

Array Happy Canadian Thanksgiving! Rather than start a new thread, I revived this one. Tomorrow is Canadian Thanksgiving and I wanted to wish everyone a good holiday... even you poor American sods who have to work Monday. Array Is turkey the traditional meal for Canadian Thanksgiving? Or is it Moose? Or Beaver? Or Grizzly Bear? Anyway, have a great holiday. Can't you, just this once, f*** off? -

Thanksgiving is much the same as the US except it isn't a big shopping holiday. Array You're talking about Black Friday. That isn't a holiday. It is a battle. Now if you will excuse me, I have an axe to grind. -

Array Completely agree with the above post. If you want to see humanity at its worst, go to a mall anytime on Black Friday.
Of course, with the US economy doing a nice impression of a free-falling boulder, it might be different this year. To all my Canadian comrades on this forum, be forewarned, you might have to deal with we American refugees fleeing north to escape the economic apocalypse. "Time line? Time isn't made of lines. I don't know... can you handle a regulated banking system, universal health care, and having something other than old men on your money?
