    US Veteran World Championships

Two members of the Colorado Fencing Academy in Arvada, CO, did very well at the Veterans World Championships in Sydney, Australia, in September. Alex Kovacs won the Bronze in his division. Sharol Pestotnik placed 9th in her division. Congratulations to them both for a fine job representing the US and CFA. Cheers to Coach Nickolay Logatchov for his superb coaching.

The Vets definitely did better than our senior fencers in the championships. As far as this poll goes, our seniors' performance this past week will overshadow any momentum we did have.

And congratulations to Jeannine Bender, lately of Virginia, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and New York, for her fifth place finish in the WS.
