Is nike coming out with a fencing shoe at all?
I think it's about time for them to come out with one.

They have been playing with it. Most of proto's that I have seen or heard about are modified versions of other shoes. The only reason they are really interested is that in order to have the OG contract, they need to supply something for every sport as I understand it. I doubt they will be quite as enthusiastic as Adidas and High Tech have been since both of those companies have entered the fencing market volunteering and not as a requirement addendum for a huge $$$ contract.

In short, my opinion is a little biased. If they didn't care enough about fencing to support it with their products before hand, **** em if they get the OG contract. I'll take my business to someone that supported fencing without being bribed (you could try to make the argument that Adidas only has fencing shoes/gear because of the contract, but you would be wrong...) by the hugeness of the overall OG contract.

TBH, if Nike designed it, you would get a shoe with a giant swoosh that cost $400 and fell apart after two lunges.

Just my two cents.

I have an acquaintance who works in the basketball division at Nike. He did say they were working on a fencing shoe for the Olympics but couldn't give me any further details. Coincidentally, these just showed up on eBay. There is no mention of a manufacture date or much else about them.

For what it's worth, I think they're ridiculous looking.

I remember seeing someone post a link to a similar pair of boots, only white.
The phrase "hideous moon boots" came up at some point, if I recall correctly
