I hate thunderstorms. They bother me to no end when i happen to not be with friends. I can handle them with friends, but not alone.

They are freaky as hell.

LIGHTNING IS FREAKIN AWESOME THOUGH.
Thunder? not so much.

Bratz Kids dolls have no feet. In their place is a small round knob that matches with their mutltiple foot gear. Aparently these 'creatures' do not need feet. Is their self image so tied to their foot gear that they have given up their feet so that it is easier to change their shoes?

I feel so depressed when I see these toys. Barbie was bad enough, but these toys are horrible.

More scatalogical humor:

A poster in our office gives four things to do in the event of an emergency:
  1. Evacuate
  2. Assemble
  3. Be Accountable
  4. Wait
I have often heard that in the event of a real emergency many people do indeed evacuate, often just before running for their lives.... I understand that the loss of that little bit of extra mass often makes it easier to get away.

Just heard an NPR broadcast of a Story Corps segment. The subject was a Gay man that told about his comming out to his family and how his mother finally accepted this. Which lead me to thisthought... Would an over portective NY 'jewish' mother then start looking for gay doctors to marry her gay son/daughter?

Just got back from a resturant tonight. Why do "modern" resturaunts feel it is necssary to have the 'backgound' music cranked to eleven in the dining rooms? Perhaps it is a service for all those people that are on secret spy mssions that don't want their conversations overhear by counter espionage agents! I know, members of Al-kinda are secretly subeverting our resturang establishment and creating safe havens for terroriss to gather in plain sight. Quick! Call Homeland Security!

I think I like the look or darker woods better than lighter woods. In general of course, but the two also complement each other in certain cases.

Married sex is like ice cream. You can have all you want, but you only ever get one flavor for the rest of your life. Wouldn't it be nice to taste a little chocolate once in a while? What about neapolitan? Think of it... Three wonderful flavors all mixing around in one bowl! And dare I say it - cherry - who wouldn't like a some cherry once in a while. But don't even think about licking the spoon. That would be off limits completely!

While at the Video store with the three girls, I was shocked out of my mind when I saw an ad for Starship Troopers 3.... 3? 3?

When did 2 happen? When I got home I had to look it up, and low and behold here it is:

http://www.sonypictures.com/homevide...thefederation/

and

http://www.sonypictures.com/homevide...opersmarauder/

I'm not all that sure how I feel about this... After all the original movie completely left out the power armor that was so central to the story line in the book, but it looks like they finally bring them in on the 3rd movie. I'm guessing that these went straight to video... not necessarily a good omen...

Elitiest like the rest of us....

When I was in college I often voiced my "scary thought" to my friends. You see, at the time I was (and probably still am) a closet elitist, and would often think about the fact that as a college student I was supposed to be surrounded by, at the least, the top half in intelligence in our population.
So on occasion I would say to my friends
"Here's my scary thought: Would you say that there are some pretty dense people in this university? Think about these people, and think of the ones that have really impressed you with just how dense and downright stupid they are. Now think about this. In order to get into college, they have to be within the top half of our society in intelligence and ability. That would mean that there are a LOT of other people in our society that are even MORE dense than these people.

Now think of this: Every one of these people has the right to vote, and probably will vote more often than you will... But so far this is the BEST system that we can come up with..."

So I'm still stuck with this thought. I know that I am not the greatest thinker in he world, but I am not the greatest slouch out there either. Yet many of those others that are not that great in thinking ARE still out there being led along by others that would manipulate them to their own ends. These people cancel out my vote and often work against their own (and my own) interests. Yet what else is there?

I would guess that the best government could be a benevolent dictatorship.. Of course we all know how THAT would end.

Pure Socialist movements are usually run into the ground by people that start out with the best of intentions and rapidly run their economies into the ground with state control over the production.

Pure capitalist societies rapidly move from an egalitarian society to one of the haves and have nots as capital gets concentrated into the hands of small groups of oligarchs.

Theocracies? Let's not even go there....

What's left? Anarchy? Usually devolves into the survival of the strong and well armed killing off any that get in their way.

I keep feeling that we're all going to hell in a hand basket and we've been singing campfire songs the whole way.

Good luck in this election, we're all going to need it.

Goin back to self-acronyms, this word is not one but I believe it will be one day. The food industry uses the word "original" on their "original" flavors of chips, beef jerky, etc. If I ask for a regular, ordinary bag of Lays chips, what flavor will I get? original.

there's a whole website dedicated to these kinds of thoughts... i think it is www.crazythoughts.com

one of which- Why does Sally sell seashells on the seashore if you can just go and pick them up?

and another- Can you put a gay man in a straitjacket? ( had to do that one, considering beginners fencing jackets are somewhat like straitjackets)

I can't stand people with gross table manners, especially the ones who chew with their mouth open or make sucking/smacking noises as they eat. Makes me physically ill. Where do people learn to act like that?
