Whoever said I sped on ice? That'd just be stupid. When I was in college, I had a 1974 VW Beetle (this was the winter of 90-91). I was driving the fencing team back to Beloit from a competition in Milwaukee (or Waukesha...somewhere up there). We were on Hwy 43. There was a lot of wind, and there must have been some black ice. Wow...what a ride. We started spinning. We had that rear-engine rear-wheel-drive thing going on. What a sight we must have been for the rest of the traffic on 43.
Now I have a VW Jetta with electronic traction control and ten airbags. I could have used that then! -
