| Quick Armorer Question I'm writing instruction right now to help with the quick diagonosis of bodycord problems, whats your best way to short a bayonet bodycord to test it for breaks, I've always used a sabre socket or my handy short tool, but this is for people that would not have either. Your advice? |

| You use a guard. You can easily hold a bayo so the tip and the side contact are touching the guard. |

| Use a bit of the lamé that the fencer is wearing. Real easy to fold metallic cloth around the tip of the bayonet plug. And conveniently right there when testing on strip.

| I use ring on the guard, tip on the blade. You can hold the weapon and the bayonet plug with one hand and wiggle the wire with the other.
Remember, a dynamic test with flexing of the wire is going to find a lot more intermittents than just touching.
