    WE/WS Opens @ Temple 10/21

    http://askfred.net/Events/whoIsComin...nament_id=4382

Currently the pre-registration lists show all of the classified fencers needed for the WE to be an A-rated tournament and the WS to be B-rated (both still need additional people).

Should be a solid women-only tournament.

Feel free to PM me with questions, for directions, etc.

    *bump and update*

The WE now has 19 people. Still looking for another 6 to make it an A2, rather than an A1.

WS still needs people (any rating) to become a B1.

To many women's tournaments on the same day (Maryland is holding theirs on the 21st as well). Not that I'll be fencing at any of them anyways

Yeah, but this, at least the women's sabre (I admit I didn't even look at the prereg for the WE) looks like a strong and entertaining event, which is not all that common for WS. I'd travel for that. (though for this one I don't have to)

Okay, Peach, get the Epees out of the closet. You've already renewed your Sabre B. The cat's out of the bag.

Actually I would travel too and I'll even be in MD that weekend (fall break) but the 21st is also a MACFA meet date for UMD in Virginia, so I will be there instead. Side note if you're willing to travel UNC occasionally hosts women's sabre events, and the team is pretty much required to come out and fence.

I'm afraid the laughter I would cause might instigate a hernia or two. That was an interesting but unsuccessful interlude

And then there's what happened at the Vets Challenge ME. We had 36 fencers and 2 A's. One A lost in the 32 and the other lost in the 16. But you have a little margin.

Or the PdT several years ago. MS had 2 A's and 11 B's. The A's (Matt Zich and myself) were the gold medal bout. We lost 10 of the 11 B's before the 8.
