The audio quality on the last several interviews has been really good IMHO, FYI.

We sprung for a new digital audio recorder and (I think) a better microphone. The audio quality is *much* better. I haven't had to do the normal editing to remove some noise and boost audio levels - all I have to do is rip it down to mono for Internet playback (and more manageable file sizes) and then I'm done!

If you like the audios, then support Serge and go get some cool photos at fencingphotos.com.

Any chance of a written transcript for those of us who cannot follow the audio?

Transcripts typically follow about a week to 10 days after we get the audio. Gotta give the transcription service time to do it. Yet another service we provide.

Thanks for the comments. The audio quality is amazingly better with the new recorder we got, so it was worth the money IMHO.

The Future for Fencing interview is a longer feature, and it includes a "conversation" with two Russians leading the organization along with an interpreter. If you can work through the interpretation and language, there is something very interesting about what's going on -- especially as to what they're attempting to offer the worldwide fencing community and how it's working to interact with the FIE.

This one should be high priority for transcription.
That's it, I'm done with the discussion forums on F.net. It's had its uses, but the ideologues, ranters, and "experts" have drowned too many of the conversations. I'm changing my password to something random and never logging in again.
