I find it odd that the Italian is more comfortable for you than the pistols you've tried - usually the reverse is true, but whatever floats your boat and works for you.
Fencing master Eddy Lucia used to say "a good fencer can fence with a broomstick" (the expression may not be original with him). On the other hand, using a broomstick is not likely to convey any advantage, and nobody romanticizes fencing with one.
